Maori reflection

At the start of this year we started learning about Maori ritual. I learnt what a powhiri was, it's a Maori ceremony when two tribes come together as one or that's what I think. My favourite part of a powhiri is when the tribe that lives there gives a koha, like we gave woven harakeke to the visitors. I didn't know anything about Maori ritual at the beginning of term two. I had a few ideas and now I can relate them to other things. There are still a lot of things I need to learn for in the future. I'm going to learn my mihi so that if I get asked if I can do my mihi I can. Here is an audio link to our performance and explanations about our learning.
